Writer Application

Please fill out the application below to get started. We realize our application is quite long, but we use this form, your resume, and your writing samples to separate the pretenders from the contenders. Once contracted, you will find that we treat our writers like family which is probably the same reason that the majority of our freelancers have been with us for over 8+ years. Good luck and we can't wait to read your application! Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at lauren@snrinfo.com.

We do require our writers to have access to the latest version of MS Word, as all orders will be completed in doc or docx format.

Terms And Conditions

Terms And Condition

At Student Network Resources (hereafter referred to as "SNR"), we seek freelance professionals who can research and write model term papers. Our clients use our samples as guides when writing their own documents. We do not promote cheating, and we forbid our customers from submitting our materials for academic credit.

Our service also provides model essays, research papers, resumes, book reports, theses, and dissertations on all subjects and levels. The more versatile your knowledge and expertise, the more money you will be able to earn. Our freelance writers can make as much as $50,000 per year. However, a writer must never accept a project for which he or she is not adequately qualified to complete--both in content and time frame.

**I. How to Select and Complete a Project

Once you become a member of our team, we will assign to you a unique username and password, enabling you to access our secure Web site. When you sign-in, you may choose from three (3) options.

a. You may click on the "Available Orders Board," through which you will find a list of available writing assignments. All of our writers access this page on a regular basis, so jobs do not remain available for long! Obviously, the more often you check the board, the more likely it is that you will find assignments for which you are qualified. At the end of each semester (March/April/May and October/November/December), we are inundated with thousands of orders, so plan your schedule accordingly during those extremely busy months.

b. You may click on the "Writers' Board." Upon entering, you will have access to the specifications of each assignment, including length, due date, bibliographical style, personal instructions from the customer, and payment amount. If you see an assignment that you would like to complete, simply click on the "Write" button. The project disappears from the "Assignment Board," and immediately thereafter becomes your sole responsibility. You will automatically receive a complete description of the assignment via email. You must always complete the assignment on time. (The Writers' Board can only be viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer.)

c. If you have completed an assignment, click on "Pending Assignments." You must match the ID number of the paper with the ID number of the assignment. When you upload the paper, our system will immediately email the paper to the client. Your payment balance will then be credited for the assignment. (We will not issue payment until you upload the completed paper.)

**II. Basic Writing Guidelines

1. Formatting:
You must write at least 300 words per double-spaced page, with 1-inch margins on all sides. You must use "Times New Roman" or "Arial" font. If a customer pays for 10 pages, but you deliver only 9 1/2 pages, we will not pay you until you complete the order in its entirety. Graphs, pictures, and charts do not factor into the page-count whatsoever. Remember, one (1) page equals approximately 300 words. So, if a customer pays for 10 pages - with 1 table and 2 graphs - you must still provide approximately 3,000 words of text. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. We will not allow a customer to take unfair advantage of our services by abusing one of our writers.

2. Punctuality:
Our clients are bound by strict deadlines, so you must complete each assignment by the deadline set forth by the customer. If a writer fails to deliver on time, the client will be upset. SNR will then receive negative publicity and possible chargeback hassles from the customer's credit card company. You may not be paid for a late assignment if the customer complains to us about postponed or delayed delivery and/or files a chargeback.

3. Accuracy:
You must exactly follow the directions for every assignment. If any part of the assignment is unclear, please email us and we will ask the client to clarify. Do not simply submit a paper to "get paid," without having properly double-checked your work and confirmed that you successfully fulfilled all of the specifications set forth by the client. If the client complains because you did not complete an aspect of the assignment as requested, you must rewrite and/or edit the paper before you receive payment.

4. Proofreading:
You must use Microsoft Word's automated "Spelling and Grammar" checker before submitting each completed assignment. You must also proofread thoroughly. We charge premium rates for our services, and customers should not have to worry about errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation. We have zero tolerance for such careless mistakes that you could have easily corrected - automatically - with your word processor.

5. Citing Bibliographical Sources:
You must properly cite all sources on a "Bibliography" and/or "Works Cited" page, adhering to the particular citation style that the customer requested (MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, Turabian, etc.). This is FREE to the customer, and does not count toward the number of pages for which the customer paid.

6. Faxes:
Customers sometimes send faxes in order to transmit to us resource materials and/or supplementary instructions. If a client indicates in our order form that he or she will be sending faxes, your writers' admin section will explain to you where to locate the faxes. You will receive more information about faxes after you have logged-in to our system. You will need Adobe Acrobat Viewer to open the faxes, as we convert them into PDF format. Following is a link to the Web page on which you may download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Viewer.

7. Plagiarism:
SNR uses the state-of-the-art services of TurnItIn.com to test every completed assignment for plagiarism. If a writer plagiarizes, we WILL detect it. All writing must be 100% original, and you must properly cite all sources. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule! Our zero tolerance policy regarding plagiarism entails immediate termination of employment and forfeiture of all currently accrued salary for the month during which the act of plagiarism occurs, as well as full disclosure of the employee's contact information to any third party seeking legal action and/or civil damages. O f course, we will never jump to a hasty conclusion. We will provide to you all available evidence in the event that a customer or SNR accuses you of plagiarism.

**III. "Rush" Assignments

It is crucial for SNR to process and complete ALL of the orders that we receive. With that in mind, please review all available "rush" orders" FIRST. (The compensation for a "rush" order is always higher!) If there are no "rush" orders available, or you do not feel comfortable accepting a particular "rush" assignment, you may choose any available assignment you like.

**IV. Assignment Limits

We will place a certain limit on the number of assignments that you may accept on any given day. If you prove that you can successfully handle more assignments, we will raise your daily limit. We may also increase your limit during the busy periods of March/April and November/December. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you must complete at least one assignment every two months, or you will be suspended.

**V. "Cherry-picking" Assignments

If we feel that you are ignoring assignments for which you are qualified to complete, and/or simply waiting for high-priced orders to arrive, you will be suspended. We do not want writers who purposely bypass certain assignments that they could easily complete, simply to "lay in wait" for high-priced or "easy" orders. Our highest-paid writers make more money because they take ALL types of assignments.

**VI. Payment Information

On the first day of each month, we will calculate your total balance for all orders completed during that previous month. We will send out payment the first week of each new month, and you should receive the check by latest the 12th of each month.

One of the great features of SNR is that we will credit payment to you when you FINISH an assignment, NOT when that assignment is technically "due." For example, if you have a large assignment with an official "due date" of March 15, but manage to finish on February 25, we will pay you for that assignment in the check that we issue to you on March 1. However, you must keep in mind that you may NOT sacrifice quality in order to complete an assignment early. We thoroughly inspect every completed assignment for quality assurance. Incomplete or sloppy work is not acceptable.

As you are a freelance, contracted employee, we will not withhold taxes from your checks. You are solely responsible for reporting your yearly earnings to the government. Each February or March, we will mail to you a tax form that reflects your exact, yearly income. You must present that information to the appropriate state and federal agencies prior to April 15th.

**VII. Compensation

All new writers are subject to a 2-assignment "Probationary Period." We will critically analyze each writer's first two (2) assignments for proper punctuation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and general accuracy. Should the completed material not satisfy our basic expectations, or you do not adhere to our writing guidelines, we will discontinue our working relationship at that time.

Normal payment rates:

Due in 7+ days ($10.00 per page)

Due in 3 - 6 days ($11.00 per page)

Due in 1 - 2 days ($12.00 per page)

Due in 8 - 23 hours ($13.00 per page)

**VIII. Anonymity

We realize that, for various reasons, a writer may not wish to reveal his or her true identity to the public. For this reason, we will never reveal your true name to a client. Customers will "know" you only by your username.

**IX. Contract

As soon as you confirm your intent to continue our "prospective employment" process, we will forward your resume to our hiring supervisor. Within 48 hours, we will let you know if we plan to offer you a contract. (If you have not already sent to us your resume, please do so now.) If we decide to offer you a position, we will send to you an "Independent Contract Agreement" in Adobe PDF (.pdf) format. The contract will contain additional legal information. You must print, sign, and fax the contract back to us. When we receive the signed contract, w e will ask you for the username and password you will want to use. You will be able to accept your first order on the following day.
